OLD PASADENA HOSTS A HALLOWEEN WEEKEND   OF FUN, FREE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

PASADENA, CA. (October, 2016) – Bring the whole family to Old Pasadena for a frightfully fun-filled Halloween weekend! On Saturday, October 29, visit One Colorado to decorate your own jack-o-lantern, and on Sunday, October 30, primp your pup and join the doggy costume parade at The Dog Bakery’s Growl-o-ween event. 

It’s all treats and no tricks on Monday, October 31, when Old Pasadena celebrates Halloween. Don costumes and trick or treat at more than 100 participating businesses in the district. Along Colorado Boulevard, favorite movie characters are ready for meet and greets with kids – get your cameras ready, parents! – and the friendly yellow-shirt Ambassador Guides hand out special goodies-filled eggs to each little monster and ghoul.

In the One Colorado Courtyard, families can commemorate the evening by taking a free “haunted” photo with a professional photographer and close the day’s festivities watching the 30-minute “The Addams Family – Halloween Addams Style” (1965) and the feature film Gremlins (1984) on the outdoor screen!

Get busy with glue sticks and washable markers and create your own Great Pumpkin. Pumpkins are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis; all creations go home with their creators.

Growl-o-ween at The Dog Bakery

Bring your pooch dressed to impress for a doggy Growl-o-ween parade around Old Pasadena, followed by a costume contest with prizes for the winners!  Pre-registration required, so please call the business directly.

Old Pasadena Halloween Celebration Trick-or-Treating

On Halloween, more than 100 stores and restaurants in Old Pasadena open their doors to all the costumed visitors for free, store-to-store trick or treating. The Dog Bakery is giving out treats to furry friends that are in disguise.  Be on the lookout for Old Pasadena Ambassador Guides handing out fun little Halloween eggs filled with surprises. Kids will have the opportunity to meet and greet various popular costumed characters along Colorado Blvd. Take your dressed-up family and even four-footed friends over to the One Colorado Courtyard for free professional photos against a Halloween-themed background and hundreds of pumpkins.

A father’s purchase of a small, furry creature called a “mogwai” in a Chinese antique store leads to all kinds of trouble in this 1984 horror-comedy classic starring Phoebe Cates, Judge Reinhold, and Corey Feldman. The movie is preceded by a half-hour 1965 Halloween episode of “The Addams Family.”
