I just got word from my friends over at TOPS and I wanted to share the “out of this world” news!

In celebration of the latest progress announced by Pasadena’s very own Jet Propulsion Laboratory and its historical Curiosity rover mission on Mars, another Pasadena institution, The Original Tops, is renaming its popular TOPS Special the “Curiosity Burger” from Thursday, August 23 through Sunday, August 26.

Additionally, to honor those hard-working JPL staffers on Martian time (working an extra 40 minutes a day), The Original Tops will give away a free Curiosity Burger to anyone presenting an official JPL ID. Just ask for the Curiosity Burger and show your badge to The Original Tops staff.

The Curiosity Burger (a.k.a. the TOPS Special) is a ¼ lb. Old Fashioned Hamburger (with lettuce, fresh tomatoes, sweet red onion, dill pickle and homemade Thousand Island Dressing), topped with Famous Pastrami, Mustard and American Cheese.
